Summary of Cover
Provides cover world-wide in respect of legal liability to pay compensation including legal costs for:
- accidental death or personal injury to any person excluding employees
- accidental loss or damage to third party material property
- accidental obstruction, trespass, nuisance or interference with any rights
- accidental wrongful arrest or false imprisonment.
Cover includes:
- products liability
- contractual liability including products
- legal defence costs awarded following a breach of the:
- Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
- Food Safety Act 1990
- Consumer Protection Act 1987
- food and drink poisoning
- indemnity to directors, employees and principals
- personal liability overseas
- compensation and claimants costs
- against libel and slander for in-house and trade publications
- liability incurred in connection with:
- Defective Premises Act 1972
- Data Protection Act 1984
- cross liabilities
- contingent motor liability
- court attendance costs:
- any director or partner £250 per day
- any employee £100 per day.
A choice of indemnity limits is available from £1 million up to £50 million or higher if required. Additionally cover can be provided for products sold or supplied to the USA or Canada.
